The Wishing Well


Beguiling, orchestral and lush, Australian band The Wishing Well evoke an extraordinary gamut of emotions. A cacophony of three part harmonies, wistful violin and majestic rhythms all melded to achingly strong and haunting vocals produce a rich tapestry of mesmerizing folk, pop and rock. In only three years of performing together they defined their craft and have found their fan base amongst lovers of emotive lyrics and melody.

Sadio Cissokho


Sadio Cissokho and his band deliver music straight from the Casamance region of Senegal exporting fierce sabar drum patterns and the national dance style of mballax. His enchanting Mandinka struggle songs are accompanied by West African bass grooves locked in with the forceful local drum kit sound bringing the experience of modern Senegal directly to you.

Alister Atkin and Friends The partnership of Alister and Geoffrey Richardson began at Broadstairs Folk Week in 2007 and worked so well that they have recently joined forces on Alister’s new album. Bringing country folk music with rich string arrangements to the Festival Club, tonight the pair will be joined by stellar musicians Brendan Power, Perry White and Craig McEvoy.

Cocos Lovers This Deal-based eight-piece are a family band whose close-knit chemistry is producing both critically acclaimed recordings and live performances – The Independent recently featured them in its list of top new bands. Cocos Lovers play a heady mix of traditional English folk, full band harmonies, and influences of the American Deep South all off-set against bursts of Eastern and African rhythms.
