Some adult learners are entitled to free tuition on Level 2 and Level 3 programmes


Adult learners who do not already hold a full Level 2 or Level 3 qualification may be entitled to free tuition.


Free tuition applies to adults:


• Aged over 19 and studying for a full Level 2 qualification for the first time.


• Aged between 19 and 24 and studying for a full Level 3 qualification for the first time.


* Full Level 2 = five GCSEs at Grades A*- C or an NVQ2 or equivalent. ** Full Level 3 = two ore more A Levels or a BTEC National Diploma or equivalent.


Courses for which this entitlement may apply are marked with a tick symbol.


Those eligible for free tuition will still be required to pay;


• Materials costs in full • A contribution to exam fees*


*The learner will be required to pay the first £25 each year towards any exam fees where total costs are below £100 or the first £50 each year where exam fees exceed £99. When total examination costs are less than £25, then learners will pay the actual cost. Learners who claim exam fee reduction and who fail to sit the exam will be invoiced for the balance of the full examination fees plus a £5 administration charge.
