Peace of Mind After so much contemplation, I felt very quiet inside. My mind was gentle and I could consider things slowly and in a focused manner. This was extremely unusual for me as I often try to think of three or more things at once, with my mind cycling around busily. I decided that, in order to avoid falling back into my old tendencies, I will practice self-reflection regularly. It will remind me that my mind can easily become full of delusions and how it affects me. I will also develop courage, practice in being more open to others and in giving love.

Going through this


retreat experience has helped me to develop a strong and positive self-image again. I could finally see my worth. I could see everyone’s worth and, every day since the retreat, I have been reminding myself of this fact. I can confront thoughts that I have blocked out previously with a clear view. I know that there are about one in every five women who are in an abusive
