The opening of a new business is a big event for the Kingwood Chamber of Commerce. So big, that we bring out the world’s largest pair of scissors for the occasion.
The Chamber hosts a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome a new business to the community or to celebrate the remodeling/reopening of existing ones. We drape a ceremonial ribbon across the main entrance of the building, which is then cut in a ritual manner by the owners of the business to signify that the building is open for business.
Chamber members are invited to participate in the ribbon cutting to show their support for the business. It is also an opportunity for members to learn about the new business and meet its owners.
In addition, everyone gets a chance to smile for the camera for a publicity photo. We have some great photos of ribbon cuttings from this past year! See if you can recognize some of the places and faces in the crowd.
To schedule a ribbon cutting ceremony, contact the chamber at 281-360-4321.
