July 9 Jordin Sparks The former American Idol winner has announced “The Battlefield Tour” for this summer. NADYALOGUES Actress and writer Nadya Ginsburg will take to the stage at The Renberg Theatre, located at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center at 1125 N. McCadden Place, to enter- tain audiences with her latest comedic tour-de-force NadyaLogues. Her show on July 9 and July 10, which is a blending of original characters and her celeb-kabob skewering, has the talented lady portraying Madonna and Cher, via the highest form of flattery with impres- sions of these famous women. July 2 – August 8 The Who’s Rock Opera The musical question of “Tommy Can You Hear Me?” first posed by The Who in 1969, will be answered at The Chance Theater beginning on July 2. The Who’s Rock Opera, which began as a double album concept project. The stage production features music and lyrics by Who guitarist Pete Townsend and the tracks “See Me, Feel Me” and “Pinball Wizard,” naturally, in the telling of the musical’s Tony Award-winning story. July 8 -18 Songs and Dances of Imaginary Lands This innovative theatre production is an impressive, gender-bending contemporary opera, which melds art installations, dance, voice, live and recorded music along with projected video. Performances begin on Thursday, July 8 with five performances per weekend for two weeks.
