The Rage Monthly: How long have you been working at The Silver Fox? Gonzalo Gonzalez Jr.: It’s been about almost six years now. Rage: What days or nights of the week can we find you “serving it up” there? GG: Monday night, Tuesday and for Wednesday happy hour. Rage: What do you enjoy most about bartending? GG: The interaction, my regulars, new and old faces that come to the bar. My coworker and I get to have fun behind the bar. Rage: What is your favorite night at the bar? GG: Karaoke on Wednesdays and Sundays. Rage: What are some of the other popular nights? GG: Every night is a popular night at The Silver Fox. Rage: Do you have any “do or don’t tips” when it comes to ordering from a bartender? GG: Yes, know what you want to drink, be nice to everybody around you and…don’t forget to tip. Rage: What do like best about living in Long Beach? GG: The beach, the mom and pap’s stores and restaurants, just how gay-friendly it is. Rage: Besides The Silver Fox, what are some of your favorite local destinations? GG: SilverLake! I love the f@#kin’ bars there, Motherload and The Falcon. Rage: Do you have any hobbies? Men, the gym, taking pictures and shopping. Rage: Describe a “perfect day.” GG: Hot, hot day at the beach with friends and drinks. Rage: Finally, tell us why you think The Silver Fox is “all the rage!” GG: We are your neighborhood bar and you also have a friend there.
