July 15 – August 1 The Pajama Game The dangers of a workplace romance are explored and taken to hysterics in this comedy from the creators of Damn Yankees. Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful, as sparks fly between a new superintendent and his employee, leader of the Union Grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7½-cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well. July 16 Stand Up for Equality – A Night of Comedy Start the Pride weekend off with a few good laughs. HRC San Diego presents Alec Mapa and Dana Goldberg at an inaugural comedy night at the Birch North Park Theatre.
The “Gaysian” Alec Mapa of Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives fame will bring his unique brand of comedy to San Diego Pride for the first time. July 24 Video Games Live: Bonus Round Video Games Live once again returns to San Diego’s Civic Theatre during Comic-Con week for one of their biggest and most spectacular shows of the year.
