July 15 – August 1 The Pajama Game The dangers of a workplace romance are explored and taken to hysterics in this comedy from the creators of Damn Yankees. Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful, as sparks fly between a new superintendent and his employee, leader of the Union Grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7½-cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well. July 10 Red Hot Pride Kick off your San Diego Pride festivities a week early by attending this annual dance for women held at the LGBT Center. July 16 Stand Up for Equality – A Night of Comedy Start the Pride weekend off with a few good laughs. HRC San Diego presents Alec Mapa and Dana Goldberg at an inaugural comedy night at the Birch North Park Theatre.


The “Gaysian” Alec Mapa of Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives fame will bring his unique brand of comedy to San Diego Pride for the first time. Mapa will be joined by legendary lesbian comic Dana Goldberg, who has appeared on Last Comic Standing and the LOGO network, as well as been a featured performer on Olivia Cruises and at clubs throughout the country. July 24 Video Games Live: Bonus Round Video Games Live once again returns to San Diego’s Civic Theatre during Comic-Con week for one of their biggest and most spectacular shows of the year. The show takes place exactly one week before the national launch of the Video Games Live PBS special, DVD/Blu-Ray and album launch and aside from the classics like Mario, Zelda, Chrono Trigger/Cross and Halo, there will be much new content that has never been performed in San Diego including music from the Warcraft and Sonic franchises along with games like Shadow of the Colossus, Sonic, Frogger, BioShock, Silent Hill 2 and even games that haven’t been released yet such as Diablo III from Bliz- zard.
