Hitachi’s energy efficient heat pump receives
MCS approval Hitachi’s Yutaki air source heat pump range has been awarded MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) approval - giving customers access to grants and future payment eligibility through the government’s proposed Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme. Yutaki – capable of reducing CO2 emissions in domestic and commercial settings by up to 50% compared to boiler-led systems – received MCS approval from BRE Global following strict assessment of its factory production control, components, assembly and delivery capability. The air source heat pump is already cheaper and easier to install compared to a ground source heat pump; integrating seamlessly with different types of heating systems such as traditional radiators and underfloor heating. BREATHABLE INTERIOR INSULATION: IQ-THERM
Up to now the use of internally applied insulation was extremely limited due to the well known problems of vapour barriers being created, that can frequently lead to terrible damage from condensation and mould growth. This is now solved by the iQ-Therm insulation system developed by Remmers, which also meets the latest and even the 2011 Building Regulations Part L thermal efficiency requirements. Remmers iQ-
Therm consists of patented, thin, breathable, organic foam panels, coupled with fully compatible bedding and bonding mortars, together with all necessary ancillary materials including solutions for fixings and all types of decorative paint finishes. This allows almost total freedom of internal design in a clean and healthy environment. For more information call 0845 373 0103 or visit
