Bilco has become the first manufacturer of roof hatches which pass the revised requirements of the Florida Building Code. The Florida Building Code was revised in 1992 following hurricane Andrew. In 2007 roof hatches were added to the list of products that are required to be tested to high velocity hurricane zone standards.
