Antiques Weekend at & Sunday 11th
Castle in the Clouds Saturday July 10th
The weekend of July
10 and 11 is not just any old weekend at Castle in the Clouds. It is An- tiques Week-end with the Antique and Classic Car Show on Saturday, July 10 and the Nan Gurley Antique show and sale on Sunday July 11. Both shows will spread out in the meadow between the Carriage House and the horse barn, and will begin at 10am. They will be accessed by the town road, Ossipee Park Rd, and have separate ad- mission. Admission for the shows also entitles the participants to enjoy the Castle in the Clouds grounds, including the trails, Carriage House and patio, with its Café and new Banks Gallery art exhibit, The Lake Ef- fect. In addition, special
lunches will be available, supplied by regional ven- dors selling classic picnic fare, including pulled pork sandwiches, hot
dogs, salads, pizza and much more. The picnic area will be adjacent to the show sites for conve- nience. Walks and Talks on
Castle and LRCT trails continue with a walk ex- ploring Forest Habit by Nora Beem on July 12, departing from the Car- riage House at 10:30am. The Walks are free with grounds admission. En- trance by the main gate. The Jazz at Sunset se-
ries, on Thursday nights (5:30 at the Carriage House), has become so popular with its tanta- lizing mix of dramatic setting, delightful light meals, and mood soften- ing music, that the Cas- tle is now taking reserva- tions (476-5900 ext 203) from those that want to be assured a seat. The Lake Ef fect art
show in the Carriage House gallery, put on by the Banks Gallery of Portsmouth, New London and Jackson, should be a
draw in itself with its mix of historic and contemporary views of the lakes and the lands around them. Most of these paintings are also for sale. The sale will take place the weekend of July 30-August 1.
