Pupils in record
attempt Children at Pelynt Primary School joined youngsters across the country to try and break the record for the largest walking school bus.
Around 60 children and their teachers walked around the school field recently as part of the event organised by Brake – a road safety charity.
The children were also given a talk on road safety.
Ducks take to the water for race
More than 3,000 yellow rubber ducks were released in to the river at Seaton recently.
Good weather attracted crowds of people to watch the annual duck race, organised by the Rotary Club of Looe Valley, which was won by Lindsey Taylor, from Herodsfoot, who took the top prize of £200 when her duck crossed the line first. Second was Peter Martin, from

Landrake, who won £100, and Sebastian Parker, from Truro, came third winning £50.
Secretary Phil Evans said: ‘It went very well. We had glorious weather and there were lots of people.’
More than £2,500 was raised for the Rotary Club of Looe Valley, which serves communities at home and overseas.
