The Pennine Water Group (PWG) is an EPSRC funded Platform Grant centre dedicated to research into water and wastewater and is based at the Universities of Sheffield and Bradford. PWG is headed by Professor Richard Ashley, Managing Director and Professor Adrian Saul, Research Director. The PWG aims to advance engineering and scientific knowledge across all aspects of potable water, stormwater, wastewater services and management of associated assets.A range of disciplinary expertise includes engineering, economics and bio-chemistry, sociology and psychology. Group activities include fundamental scientific and applied research, the implementation and dissemination of research outputs and provision of education and training.The direction of our research is advised by an International Advisory Committee.The strategic vision is to maintain and extend the breadth and depth of group activities in the UK, Europe and Overseas.

Pick Everard was formed in 1866 and is a multi-professional practice, providing the services of Architects, Consulting Engineers, Project Managers and Surveyors. The firm has been associated with the Water Industry since the formation and during this period the firm has developed into one of the leading water and environmental consultants specialising in all aspects of water abstraction, treatment, storage and distribution, sewerage and sewage treatment.The firm has experience in the design, procurement and operation of water industry schemes.
