To meet the demand for cost-effective distribution network monitoring, the company has developed a competitively priced multi-parameter insertion sonde (Intellisonde™) that can be directly inserted into water distribution pipes.A hand held version (Intellical™) is under development for all other water applications. Both products utilise existing and new sensor technology combined with an over-air data management system which enables real-time water quality measurement, accessible through any PC or web portal. The Intellisonde™ combines flow, temperature and pressure logging with optical (colour, turbidity) and chemical water quality parameters (chlorine, conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, ORP and mono- chloramines).The device can be used in stationary waters providing accurate and timely data. I t has been designed to be easy to use and install and does not require specialist software for data gathering and analysis. Advanced communication packages for local radio networks, GPRS and Ethernet are available.The company was founded in May 2005 by its existing directors and has recently received a multi-million pound investment by Credit Suisse.
