Meetings held by British Water at our offices at Queen Anne’s Gate range from one-to-one meetings with potential overseas business partners to one-day seminars. Meetings are also held with visiting trade and investment advisers from British consulates and embassies overseas to exchange information on policy, projects, sources of funding, regulation and ways to promote the UK water sector overseas.

British Water hosted a seminar in partnership with the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce on Opportunities in the Polish water sector. Speakers represented European banks, private sector finance companies, consultants and member companies already operating in Poland. As a result there was a very lively discussion about the potential and reality of setting up or expanding water sector business in Poland. Our conference, “Do you know your client?” hosted by Arup in Solihull, brought together speakers from the industry to look at UK and international supply chain issues. Over 100 delegates attended the event which was an opportunity

for water companies, suppliers, contractors, consultants and manufacturers to network and review the state of the industry in these challenging times.

All of our British Water international events and activities aim to promote the UK water industry and supply chain globally and to foster the sharing of UK technical expertise and knowledge. Companies have provided positive feedback from participating in our events having gained an understanding of market developments and contacts.
