The not so serious side of the industry You CANNOT be serious!
Top Gear v Pitchcare
I’M a bit of a fan of the beeb’s Top Gear, and the somewhat bigoted Mr. Clarkson. Not that I could afford any of the cars they test drive, perhaps with the exception of a Kia Picanto! One of my favourite quotes from JC (spooky) is “Annoying ramblers should be a national sport”. So I was (sadly) sat in bed the other night reading the latest
Top Gear magazine when I stumbled upon the list of Editors, contributors and production staff that put the magazine together. Trust me it’s bigger than the cast of the Lord of the Rings trilogy - all of them put together! So, just so you know, here’s Pitchcare magazine’s team sheet.

You’ll gather from the above that we are a small team! It’s not meant as a critiscism to the Top Gear team; it’s a fine publication but I reckon there must be a lot of ‘Solitaire’ played during quiet periods.
Of course we’ve not mentioned Ellie Tait (Marketing), Alastair Battrick (Web Monkey - but he looks after the website), Dan Hughes (Shop) or Sharon Taylor (Accounts) but I think you get the picture!

If ever a picture summed up the weather this spring, this is it... I think it’s about to rain!
GOOD to see that 1966 World Cup legends Nobby Stiles, Gordon Banks and Alan Ball are still showing their class by reading the industry’s favourite magazine, Pitchcare. Err, Nobby, should have gone to Specsavers! Also spotted enjoying a bit of PC is former Indian wicketkeeping maestro and Sky TV commentator, Farokh Engineer.
