PES Fourth Graders Visit NH State House


by Karen Plumley Fourth-grade students from Pelham Elementary School enjoyed a field trip to the New Hampshire State House in June as part of their social studies unit on New Hampshire history and government. The 10-year-old children were given the opportunity to tour various rooms in the capital; were tested on their knowledge of New Hampshire; met with state representatives, including one from their own district—Lynne Ober; and shook hands with Governor Lynch. Fourth graders from Mrs. Rebecca George’s classroom filled out an opinion survey of their trip for the Pelham~Windham News. Here are some of the questions and responses:
