self-levelling flooring screeds to the construction industry and to domestic users across the South West. Truckmix is a flowing floor screed which is ready to use and presents advantages over traditional screeds. It is far less labour intensive and up to ten times the area may be laid with one gang of men as compared with alternative semi-dry screeds. In contrast to many traditional screeds, shrinkage and curling is most unlikely to occur - any that does will be minimal. Truckmix may be laid at a lesser thickness than conventional semi-dry screeds. It can be used in all dry
locations and applications where traditional screeds are laid and it provides an excellent surface finish.
Where underfloor heating is used, it comes into its own. Because the screed is wet, it surrounds the heating pipes leaving no voids. This gives a much better efficiency to the heating system. Truckmix, which is pumped in through hoses, also helps you avoid the risk of piercing pipes, a problem that can arise where dry screeds have to be wheelbarrowed across the pipes.
