Continued expansion
SANDS Consultants are pleased to confirm continued expansion of their Exeter-based office. Following the appointment of Jonathan Gregg as Associate Director for Transportation in December 2009, Sands has recently appointed two new technical staff to strengthen the transportation and infrastructure expertise increasing the office to 24 staff.
The transportation and infrastructure team work alongside a range of professionals including developers, planners, agents and architects in the development of planning proposals covering all
sectors and the specialist inputs provided include:
*Optimising and unlocking land for commercial benefit *Innovative Masterplanning Inputs and Engineering Strategies *Integrated Transportation and Access Strategies *Transport Assessment and

*Accessibility Planning *Highway Design
*Sustainable Drainage Design and Flood Risk Assessment *Utilities Strategies
*Co-ordination of Ground
Investigation, Noise and Air Quality Assessment
*Public Consultations *S106 Negotiations.
These pre-planning services are complemented by Sands' ability to progress development proposals by undertaking the specialist technical services required through design, implementation and supervision including:
*External works level design *Part M access design *Private and Section 104 drainage design
*Section 38 & 278 highway design.
Sands are currently working alongside a number of both established and new clients
developing a wide range of new planning proposals including residential, commercial, retail and leisure projects within Exeter, Teignbridge, the South Hams, East Devon, Somerset and Dorset.

The business has a highly competent team of Chartered Engineers and technicians capable of producing economic and efficient designs for all projects ranging from small domestic works to multi-storey steel and reinforced concrete
