17th Annual Lupine Festival Open Air Market June 12-13 & June 19-20______


Join us at the annual Open-Air Market during the 17th annual Fields of Lupine Festival. Rain or Shine, the market is going to be a buzz of activity both week- ends. The market is located at the Sugar Hill Meetinghouse on Route 117 with plenty of park- ing in the field. We’ll have music, luncheon entrées & other tempting foods, artisan demon- strations, a live radio broadcast and over 35 vendors selling items each day that vary from Alpaca Wool Socks to Zelda’s Zucchini Relish.

On June 12-13, this year’s mar- ket will have the New Hampshire Locked Moose Antler Project Inc’s Locked Moose exhibit on display. This museum quality, life-size, trav- eling exhibit of two Bull Moose locked in battle has a fascinating story.

Saturday morning, June 12, 106.3 The Notch, will be broad- casting live, playing music, and telling thousands of local listen- ers and tourists about the festiv- ities at this year’s lupine festi- val. They are excited about join- ing us for the first time this year. The North Country Spinners & Fiber Artists will be at the mar- ket both weekends demonstrat- ing their varied skills. Each member of this group from northern New Hampshire and Vermont enjoy sharing their fiber craft of choice. “First Response” Poetry Competiton_


Alumni Hall, the Lisbon ARTS Gallery and the Ammonoosuc Region Arts Council announce the opening for submissions to its 2010 region-wide poetry competition "First Response".


The competition is open to all. No previously published poems. Submissions will be accepted through August 15, 2010 in the following age-categories: 12 years and under, 13-18 years, and over 18 years. The entry fee is $10 for a single or multiple poems, up to 60 lines total. Submitted poems may be in any form, rhymed or unrhymed.


Entries will be judged on origi- nality of content and form and craft in language.
