War Child Canada Educational Documentaries Rocked: Sum 41 in Congo is a Gemini-nominated War Child documentary featuring the Canadian band Sum 41 as they visit the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2004. This documentary offers Canadian youth a close-up view of the effects this enduring war has had, and continues to have, on the Congolese people. It also documents Sum 41’s emergency evacuation from the country by the United Nations.
War Child Canada Youth Opinion Poll on Global Issues War Child Canada conducted the first-ever statistically valid Canadian Youth Opinion Poll on global issues with Environics Research Group. This ground breaking survey highlights youth attitudes on world issues, and their desire as global citizens, to effect positive change. Some topics covered in this survey include: war and conflict; hunger and famine; NGOs; environmental issues; HIV/AIDS; human rights; UN treaties; and Canada’s role in the world. Student Outeach Team Student Outreach Teams are made up of youth across Canada, aged 14 -18. These teams provide War Child Canada with input on youth programs and initiate awareness and fundraising projects for war-affected children worldwide.
War Child Canada Campus Representatives raise awareness and coordinate campus fundraising activities in universities and colleges across North America to support War Child Canada’s International Programs.
