SAVE THE CHILDREN CANADA has been working for over 85 years both in Canada and overseas to bring immediate and lasting improvements to children's lives through the realization of their rights. Save the Children Canada is a non-political, non-religious organization committed to long-term development at the grassroots level through partnerships with local communities, government bodies and international organizations. Save the Children Canada is a member of the International Save the Children Alliance. With 28 members and operational programs in over 120 countries, the Alliance is the world's largest global movement for children.

Our Mission We develop projects, which bring about long-term sustainable improvements and development to benefit children. We deliver immediate relief and assistance to families affected by emergency situations, such as conflict and natural disaster. We speak out for and on behalf of children- to make others take action and to bring about significant change to the lives of children around the world. We include children in the development of our programs.
Save the Children Canada works under the broad categories of: Child Rights and Child Participation, HIV/AIDS, Exploitation and Abuse, Emergencies, and Education. Our specific areas of expertise include: sexual exploitation of children, child labour, child trafficking, street children, gender discrimination and the promotion of the girl child, food security, education and emergencies.
