Mines Action Canada
MINES ACTION CANADA (MAC), a coalition of Canadian non-governmental organizations, is an international leader working to eliminate the serious humanitarian, environmental and development consequences of landmines, cluster bombs and other explosive remnants of war (ERW). Mines Action Canada is the main point of contact in Canada for the international movement against cluster munitions and landmines and is networked to over one thousand campaign partners in both affected and non-affected countries also working on these issues.
The human-made disaster caused by these weapons is solvable in our lifetime. We, as Canadians, have a unique window of opportunity to finally stop the suffering caused by cluster bombs over the next year while a new treaty is being decided on.
Our Mission Mines Action Canada (MAC) exists to work for the alleviation of the impact of these weapons on the rights, dignity and well-being of civilian populations.
MAC seeks to create an enabling environment to achieve its goals based upon the core values of peace, social justice, partnership, solidarity, cooperation, and innovation.
