“We’re always looking for more local designers to carry in our shop,” says Cooper.


Passionate about accessories, Cooper also ensures Lady Luxe carries an extensive inventory in jewelry, hats and purses.

Cooper and Houk also like to be involved the local community. As a result of one staff member graduating from Mesa Community College with a degree in fashion merchandising, Lady Luxe participated in the annual fashion show event that marks students’ graduation from the program. Lady Luxe has numerous specials for the summer. Through July 30, customers can buy one item and


receive a 50 percent discount with a coupon, applicable on all items except Michael Stars and Miss Me jeans. On Tuesdays seniors receive a 10 percent discount. Lady Luxe will also host Ladies’ Night events throughout July and August, offering refreshments, discounts and vendors such as local hairdressers. Lady Luxe is located at 4955 S. Meat market offers anniversary savings


Von Hanson’s Meats & Spirits, Chandler’s “New Old Fashioned Meat Market,” commemorates its sixth anniversary from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., June 19 by selling brats for 99 cents per pound with a two-pound limit, along with samplings of the market’s quality meats and Midwestern specialties. The company, which was started about 51 years ago in Apple Valley, MN by Pete Von Bank and Dick Hanson, recently celebrated with a Chandler Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting, too.


Von Hanson’s features high- quality meats and specialty items along with beer and wine. It is the only meat market in Chandler with a smokehouse that makes its own fresh brats, stick meat and sausages in-store. More than 60 varieties of sausages and brats are made fresh, including Polish sausage, andouille, kielbasa, Swedish potato sausage,


mild and hot pepperoni stick meats and country maple sausage made with real maple syrup.


In addition, Von Hanson’s carries Midwestern specialties like “squeaky” cheese curds, strawberry rhubarb crisps, Wisconsin cheeses, lefse, pickled herring and more.
