Kovach, Inc. was recently named Business of the Year by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and will soon add 60,000 square feet of manufacturing space to its Price Corridor site. The company has successfully weathered the economic downturn by expanding its market share and hiring “the best people who are out there,” says Kovach.
“This is a great opportunity to pick up a really sharp person,” he explains.
Kovach believes that by supporting ICAN, which offers programs for at-risk youth and their families, he is not only enriching young lives, but guaranteeing his company’s future. By encouraging children to stay in school and make wise choices, he’s ensuring that a
skillful, ethical workforce will be available for years to come.
“In my world of labor and construction and manufacturing, I’m always looking for qualified, educated young local employees, because this allows us to train them into our means, method and philosophy,” he explains. “ICAN fits perfectly into this model. If somebody comes in and says they’re from ICAN and is now a young adult – they’re going to get great consideration here.”
