Sustainable Events
The Green Gown Awards Night is run in accordance with the EAUC’s high expectations of sustainable standards. In order to compliment and represent the interest of its guests the evening has been planned and delivered with sustainability at the fore.
The Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre is an apt venue for this year’s ceremony. Set against the principals of theatrical design - with all props, costumes and sets being recycled and reused as a matter of course, inspiration for this year’s event was found. In addition, The Globe’s central London location is ideal for train travel and public transportation which should help lead to a low carbon event.
From the ethically sourced and seasonally produced menu to the organic candles, sustainably printed brochures and the use of local artists to produce our music and videos the event has been meticulously designed in order to ensure guests can enjoy an elegant yet sustainable evening.
All glass bottles and paper, including the Green Gown Awards Menu, will be recycled after the ceremony closes and all branded materials remaining will be used for other events.
The EAUC would like to thank all guests for attending the Green Gown Awards 2010 and hopes that they had a pleasant and memorable evening.
