Freshwater Farms Hosts Chamber Business After Hours

at the Farm for members of the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce. Freshwater Farms, located at 1 Kipkam Road in Atkinson, is a full-service

Van Stuck on Telephone Pole


When Pelham police responded to an accident at the intersection of Main Street and Common Street in the center of town last Friday morning, they didn’t find the vehicle on the roadway. Instead, the Toyota van was found stuck on a telephone guy-wire. The Center was closed down while a bulldozer removed the van from the telephone pole and National Grid


secured the pole.

Economic Development Seminars Scheduled


by Barbara O’Brien Windham’s Community Development Director, Laura Scott, has scheduled a trio of free educational seminars that are open free of charge to all members of the local business community. The first session, a 90-minute primer on marketing for small businesses, is scheduled for Thursday, June 24, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Chatterbox Café, located at 4 Cobbetts Pond Road in Windham. The presentation will be made by Stephanie McLaughlin of Savoir Faire Communications. Light refreshments will be served. If interested in attending, contact Laura Scott by June 21 at 432-3806. The second seminar will provide self-


employed and small business entrepreneurs access to business training, information on loans up to $15,000, and networking opportunities.

This session is slated for Thursday, July 29, from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Common Man Restaurant, located at 88 Range Road in Windham. Light refreshments will be served. The third seminar is scheduled for Thursday,


August 26, and will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Windham Restaurant, 59 Range Road. A light breakfast will be served. The day’s presentation asks, “What will your business look like in 2015?” and provides information on “how to create your own reality.” The session will be conducted by Bob Young, principal and founder of R.A. Young and Associates. Those who are interested in participating should contact Laura Scott no later than August 23.
