Win the Chance to Throw Out the First Pitch at Historic Fenway Park!
Before the Lowell Spinners Play in the “Futures At Fenway” Game on July 10th
has challenged the softball team to a game. The staff prevailed victorious in each of the first nine meetings, but this year, the softball players earned a win by the score of 9-4. Each year, the players came closer to beating the faculty, and this is the year they finally did it. The game lasted only four innings because of weather conditions. This year’s staff team was coached
by teacher and softball coach Kevin Correa. The team also had a few new faces to it, including School Board member Deb Ryan. After the game, parents treated both teams and many fans to a cookout. Regardless of the score, a good time was had by all participants, and the staff team looks forward to avenging its loss next spring.

by Chris White The fifth-seeded Pelham girls’ lacrosse team drew fourth-seeded Oyster River in quarterfinal playoff action on Wednesday, June 2. Playing on the road in Durham, it was the first playoff game in program history for the girls’ team. The Pythons had lost to the Bobcats by only one goal during the season and entered the playoff contest with an upset on their minds. It was the Bobcats who would
prevail victorious, however, winning by the score of 16-10 to advance to
the semifinals. Oyster River took a 6-2 lead by halftime and then outscored Pelham 10-8 in the second half to earn the victory.
Alex Catalano led the Pythons with six goals and one assist, while Sarah DeBaldo registered four goals and one assist. Keri Foley also provided three assists and Becca DeBaldo added one. Meanwhile, netminder Caitlin Re turned away 23 shots for the Pelham defense. Post-season included, the team ended the spring with a 10-6 overall record.
