“Thumbs down to the Hudson Board of Selectmen. Aren’t you supposed to be watching the taxpayers wallet? First you accept half the legal fees due the town form the ‘fence’ people, now you allow the firefighters union to extend their work hours so they can make more money without a vote form the taxpayers?? Who do the firefighters think they are?? Boston?? Why can’t they be more like the Derry fire fighters?? We will remember at election time and contract time…”
“Thumbs down to the driver exiting Suzie’s that almost hit a cyclist.
It’s driving school 101,
AND THE LAW, when taking a right turn; look left, right... then left again. You even admitted, ‘granted without looking to the right. You’ll kill someone with this careless driving. YES, the cyclist must ride with the flow of traffic; and YES, you must look BOTH ways! What if it was a jogger following the law by running against traffic, and you turn without looking? Who’s the careless one? Does ‘motor vehicle homicide’ mean anything? YOU use common sense, you’re the one driving a deadly weapon!”
“Thumbs up to the LMS Raiders softball and baseball teams for a perfect season and winning the Class M championships. Way to go LMS!”
Thumbs Up? Thumbs Down? “We want to be your Mechanic”
the end of line too. We wait in line so why shouldn’t you? Just because you are coming from the other direction doesn’t mean you can cut in. Go down and turn around!”
“Thumbs down to the church next to fire station, to the new ugly organ, that money was for the windows to get fixed how can the pastor get away with it he pushing all the people that been there for yrs we need to vote him out an get a new pastor people please stand up”

an amazing concert last week. You should all be so proud you sounded wonderful.”
“Thumbs up to Mrs. Leite for all of her
hard word and dedication to our children in the band. Your hard work really shows when we get to hear them play. Great job on the concert last week the kids really sounded amazing!”
“Thumbs up to my husband for his efforts with
recycling at the Hudson ball fields. Your support means a lot to me and to the town we live in. I’ll work on automating this endeavor.”
“Thumbs up to everyone who has used the recycling bins at the ball fields this season. As a town, handling just 3 of the fields, we’ve been able to move a lot of the trash to the recycling stream. Another ‘thumbs up’ to the parents who have used and taught their children about these efforts. Keep up the great work. ‘Thumbs up to Hudson recycling!!!”
“Thumbs up to Andrew and Alex for bringing so much joy to our family! We hope you enjoyed your 1st birthday and thank you for allowing us all to be a part of it! xoxo”

down. While I agree, the motorcycles on Cranberry Lane are excessively noisy, noise doesn’t injure. The red Mustang, on the other hand, almost hit a neighbor backing out of a driveway and more often than not, drives way too fast for a street with many kids. Let’s use common sense and try to get along?”

“Thumbs down to me for hurting a friend dear to me please forgive me.”
“Thumbs down to the Hudson School Board. Stop trying to save money and cut corners by putting students in situations that clearly aren’t designed for them. Do what is right for all of the students. Isn’t that the job of the School Board?”
“Thumbs down, way down to the head coach of the Hudson Hawks, a positive attitude will go much further with these kids that your constant badgering, your negative vibe needs to be checked at the gate before you walk on the field.... ENOUGH SAID!!!”

“Thumbs up to Samantha for turning your life around. It was so nice to see how you have matured into a responsible young adult. Keep up the great work, you’re going to be very successful in life!”
“Thumbs down to the Mom in the old white
mini-van. I saw you again cutting the drop off line at GMS. Why do you feel that you are privileged? Why do you feel that you don’t have to go to the end of the line like the rest of us? And to the Dad in the grey Suburu wagon, you need to go to

“Thumbs down to the condition of the paint on the Campbell High School fence at the corner of Albuquerque and Talent. I hope it gets spruced up this summer. This would be a good Boy Scout community-service project.”
“Thumbs down to the Dollar Tree and the not so intelligent employees. Everything in there is a dollar, whether it scans or not, one would think that you could manually punch in a dollar amount onto the cash register instead of saying ‘this doesn’t have a scanner code on it.’ Are you people that lazy?”
“Thumbs down to Obama. So, are you still pleased with Obama and his administration? If you are, I suspect you have no idea what the consequences his policies will have on our country. Take last week’s jobs’ report for one. Obama’s administration promised that with the passage of the Healthcare Reform Bill, thousand and thousands of jobs would be created IMMEDIATELY! Well, not only has that NOT happened but the number of people hired in the healthcare sector alone has declined each month since it passed and healthcare costs are still rising. And if you believe that you will not be taxed if you make under $250,000, you are naive. Somebody will be paying for this and it won’t affect the rich nearly as much as it
“Thumbs up to Mr. Reardon at LSS and HOS for an amazing field day! The parents who volunteered thought it was very
well-organized, and the kids loved the activities. It’s a huge project, but everyone has a great time, and it’s a wonderful way to unify the two schools and get parents involved. Can’t wait for next year – thank you!!”
“Thumbs up to the Hudson Litchfield VFW for awarding a scholarship to Litchfield’s Hannah Gomez.” “Thumbs up to Hannah for working so hard to become valedictorian. Hard work does pay off. The tenacity over the years in studying and demanding the most out of the school system was exemplary. Watch out world!”
“Thumbs up to the neighbors of Garden Drive
for showing your support to Rodrigo, Wendy and their children. They suffered a devastating loss about a month ago when their house caught fire during a power outage. Our neighborhood extended such a caring welcome to them in their time of need. I thank you all! We all had a wonderful time with our potluck BBQ. Thank you to those that could make the event, and for those that were unable…thanks for helping them out with your generosity. It was so wonderful to meet the neighbors and have such a great time! We need to try to make it a tradition to have a neighborhood get together every summer! It was so wonderful to have you all here! Thank you all so much!”

You are a fabulous science teacher for HMS! I went from not really liking science last year to it being one of my favorite subjects! Thank you so much for a FUNdamental year. I really enjoyed your class everyday and am very thankful for all the interesting things you have taught me. Thanks a bunch!!!”
“Thumbs up to Coach Russ of the Rookie Diamondbacks. I have never seen a coach who was better at teaching the kids the fundamentals of baseball and still allowing the kids to have fun! All of the kids enjoyed playing for you this season. LBL could use more coaches like you!”
“Thumbs up to the children and their families, past and present, of ABC Junction Preschool. Everyone has been so supportive over the past eight years. The bench dedicated to ABC Junction will be appreciated for years to come. We wish everyone the best and will see you around town.”
“Thumbs down for shutting
down the eight o’clock horn! It’s the last piece of small-town charm Hudson has to offer. PLEASE bring it back!”
