Welcome To July... The Worst Month Of The Year W
we’ve had. It’s lucky that the state government spent all that money on a desalination plant because clearly we’re in the midst of a mas- sive water shortage, aren’t we? It’s quite scary that this month
marks the halfway point of 2010. It feels like only a matter of weeks since we were tucking into turkey, unwrapping presents and marvel- ling at the fireworks as the world counted down the final seconds of 2009. Now we’re already cooking another turkey to celebrate Christ- mas in July (and it’s probably a more appropriate time to be doing so given the ambient temperature).
The biggest benefit of the cold, wet winter is the almost immedi- ate dissipation of numbers out in the surf. The crowds thin out faster than a Hollywood starlet with a coke habit as soon as the mercury drops below 20°c.

Thankfully Kobi is on the mend and we wish him all the best with his recovery. With footy season in full swing, we were lucky enough to catch up with Roosters bad boys Nate Myles and Todd Carney during the month and, like a deciduous tree at his time of year, it appears they’ve both turned over a new leaf.
