Government Issues Research and Debate (50pts)
1. Topics: a. Elena Kagan’s nomination to the US Supreme Court – Team A b. Off-shore drilling/Energy Independence – Team B c. Immigration Reform: Which direction should the US take? – Team C
2. Each Team will debate one topic and judge another topic 3. On June 14, we will begin conducting debates of the government policies student teams have been researching.
4. You will be graded on: a. Quality of research b. Quality of primary arguments c. Ability to respond to questions from judge panel d. Quality of rebuttal e. Appearance
