lfa Laval’s new CB60 copper brazed plate heat exchanger manages to provide higher thermal efficiency within a smaller heat transfer area which adds up to an overall increase in performance capacity compared to its predecessors. The exchanger is ideal for applications in District Heating, general heating and cooling duties and tap water heating solutions. Since the new CB60 offers less pressure drop, power consumption is also reduced. A range of different plate patterns are available within the same compact shape, which means that the exchanger can be tailored with some precision for individual duties. But, since the CB60 retains the same basic interface as its predecessors, replacing old with new should present
MINI ECO – THE DISTRICT HEATING SUBSTATION
The Mini ECO is a compact, efficient, installation- ready and fully automatic heating and hot water substation for use in detached and semi-detached houses connected into a district heating network. The Alfa Laval Mini ECO employs two separate heat exchangers to transfer heat from a district heating system to the heating and hot water circuits in individual dwellings. Not only does this isolate individual flats or houses from high-pressures and temperatures but it also confines any risk of gas leaks
to the principal network. The Mini ECO has automatic temperature controls for both central heating and hot water supply. The heating circuit is adjusted in relation to the outdoor temperature and the required indoor temperature via a thermostatic control, outdoor sensor and/or indoor sensor. When no heating flow is required, the heating circulation pump stops automatically. For more information call 01276 633 83 or visit

no problems. With an even more compact shape, the gasket-free exchangers can be squeezed into tight corners, even when space is severely limited. With no gaskets and, therefore reduced risk of leaks, they are ideal for duties featuring either high temperatures or pressures, or a combination of both.
