Camp Pinewood
Great results for Pinewood Judo Club
Event: 13th Annual Features Sport Summer Camp 2010. Date: 23rd to 27th August Venue: Pinewood Judo Club, Old Wokingham Rd, Wokingham, Berkshire.
PINEWOOD JUDO CLUB MEMBERS fought well at the 61 Judo Club’s Championships held at the High Wycombe Judo Centre in May winning a large collecton of trophies. Coach Don Werner said, “It was a well run Championships, and a very important one for the club to attend as many junior events are facing cancellations.”
Pinewood has also had International success with Cadet, Emily Harper travelling out to Sweden to fi ght as part of the Great Britain team in the Nord Cup. Emily fought very well indeed, beating all her opponents by ippon to win the gold.
Coach Matt Divall, 3rd Dan, will once again be holding the popular Summer Judo Camp, aiming to provide intensive and quality coaching for players of all abilities. Various prizes will be awarded at the end of the course. The most coveted of all is the Top Team trophy. All participants will receive a Tshirt.
More information Ages: Five years plus.
Course Fee: £100 per child before 16th July 2010 or £120 per child after 16th July 2010.
Daily Schedule: From 10am to 4pm (except Monday when judoka need to arrive at 9am for registration.)
