1 Bring your meetings home—to DuPage County! Choosing a destination for a convention, business meeting
or training session can be time-consuming and stressful, espe- cially in the current economy. Like many businesses around the country, you may have cut back on or even eliminated your destination meetings. Yet, statistics consistently show that meetings and conferences are critical to keeping your staff, partners and customers motivated, engaged and informed. Being located in the Chicago area, you
already have access to one of the most sought-after areas for meetings in the country: DuPage County.
DuPage is ideally located just a few miles west of downtown
Chicago, offering the best of both worlds—the urban excitement of Chicago with the convenience, accessibility and value of the western suburbs. DuPage is an outstanding location for meetings and events of
up to 5,000, with 332 square miles of space, 38 municipalities and over 16,000 hotel rooms. DuPage also offers countless attractions, restaurants, entertainment and shopping choices, and it is an area rich in culture, heritage and landscape. Keeping your meeting-related dollars in DuPage benefits
everyone by saving jobs, generating income for area businesses, and raising government revenue at the city, state and federal levels through payroll, room tax, sales tax and licensing fees, which help decrease our dependence on local taxes. A major benefit of hosting your meeting in DuPage is that
more members of your local organization will be able to participate. It’s more convenient and cost-effective since travel and accommodation costs will be significantly reduced. Join with other local business leaders and community
members by making DuPage your preferred meeting and event destination. You can start by contacting the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau, where we provide a long list of complimentary “Signature Services” to help you pull off a stellar event in your own backyard. See you in DuPage!
