What’s new?

New website launched Depaul UK has just launched its new website, in conjunction with Depaul’s parent group Depaul International, and the other Depaul groups around the world. Have a look online to see what Depaul is doing in the UK, and on an international level, to tackle homelessness at www.depaulinternational.org. Please let us know what you think of the new site or if you would like to receive our E-newsletter in the future, by emailing depaul@depauluk.org.

Accenture provides huge boost for training and development schemes Depaul UK has recently secured one of the highest corporate sponsorship packages we have received to date. Accenture have provided us with a three year package of support that includes £165,300 over the next three years for the expansion of our Drive Ahead and Broadening Horizons schemes. These schemes align very closely with Accenture’s Skills to Succeed initiative, focused on building economically viable skills in our local communities. The package also includes pro-bono consultancy

work to bring down our utility overheads and support for the development of our Social Enterprise pilot in the North East.

iPhone

application developed for Depaul UK In partnership with Publicis, we have launched an iPhone application to ignite conversation about youth homelessness. The application is

called iHobo, a purposefully controversial name that aims to grab people’s attention and question the labels placed on homeless people. See first hand the problems faced and hopefully come to realise that loose change or a sandwich won’t help solve the problem. Visit the Apple apps store on your phone or visit www.ihobo.org.
