Bicycle entrepreneur James Beal is the new

owner of Cycles Etcetera of Salem. James has been building, fixing, and selling bikes since he was 12 years old. James, too young to work at Cycles Etcetera at that time, would bring crated bikes home on a dolly and assemble them in his basement. He would then wheel them back to Cycles Etcetera for evaluation by the head mechanic. His enthusiasm and exceptional attention to detail always made him welcome at the shop. When James turned 15, his dream began—he got his working papers and started working in the bike shop as a mechanic and salesman. James, now 27 and true to his dream, is the new owner of the shop. Cyclists have brought their bikes to Cycles

Etcetera for years—many enthusiasts coming from as far away as Boston for repairs and upgrades. Anyone in the market for a new bike, or just wanting that old favorite in tip-top shape, should feel welcome to stop by, or just come in for some bike talk.

Cycles Etcetera is located at 1 Range Rd in Salem at the intersection of Rte. 28 and Old Rte. 111. Cycling season is about to explode and Cycles Etcetera is looking forward to a great year serving their customers and exceeding their expectations. Give the shop a try.
