LEARNING OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

High quality learning outside the classroom supports attainment and motivation. It stimulates new-found interests and many pupils go on to pursue an activity they have tried for the first time during their stay at PGL.

Whether they join a climbing club or take up kayaking with a local group, PGL can be an effective pathway to encouraging more children to take part in 5 hours of sport a week. In the longer term improved confidence, enthusiasm for learning and positive attitudes translate into more motivated, better achieving pupils.

But before Learning Outside the Classroom becomes just another pressure on your curriculum, let PGL take the responsibility for delivering the best - both in quality and value.

LEARNING OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

All PGL centres have now been approved and awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge following inspection by the Adventure Activities Industry Advisory Committee (AAIAC).

The Quality Badge was designed to set a benchmark of quality in the industry,

and is awarded to providers who not only pledge to engage in high quality learning outside the classroom, but can also demonstrate its fulfilment in practice.
