FOOTBALL
WHY CHOOSE FOOTBALL WITH PGL?
What better way to improve team cohesion, skills and motivation than with a PGL football tournament weekend?
Designed for boys in years 7 and 8 (S1-S2), football weekends cover a broad range of curriculum linked objectives relating to participation in competitive sport, fostering competitive spirit and nurturing enthusiasm.
While matches are in progress pupils not only experience inter-school competition but can also observe and learn from their peers to further develop skills and technique. Teachers often organise additional coaching sessions and the ‘come as you please’ adventure sessions focus on building supportive team relationships.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Tournament
Your team will take part in a number of matches over the weekend within the framework of a tournament. This gives the boys the opportunity to play against other schools, but also to observe their peers, and learn from them. While not playing, teachers often organise coaching sessions.
Adventure
Adventure activities are available on a ‘come as you please’ basis, so that boys can benefit from building strong, supportive team relationships, peer support and personal achievement.
Evening Entertainment
There is never a dull moment – the evenings are packed with light-hearted entertainment, led by PGL staff.
