SUPPORTING THE NEW PRIMARY CURRICULUM
The aims and learning objectives of all the courses featured in this brochure reaffirm the aims of the new primary curriculum. Our courses promote a range of relevant skills and outcomes including Every Child Matters. PGL courses contribute significantly in a way which cannot be achieved solely in a school environment to help develop successful learners, responsible citizens and confident individuals.
With the publication of the new curriculum we have taken a fresh look at how we can support your objectives and your pupils’ learning.
At the heart of everything we do is our belief in providing positive outcomes for learning, enrichment and personal development – and there is no shortage of these aspirations in the new Primary Curriculum.
CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS
Learning and thinking; personal, emotional and social skills.
If the aim of the primary curriculum is to prepare children for secondary education, then taking part in a PGL course can enhance that outcome. Supporting children through one of the most challenging periods of their school careers, our courses promote personal, social and emotional development standing them in good stead to make a smooth and trouble-free transition to secondary schools.
RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS
Essentials for learning and life
You need only to observe your group to see that a PGL trip is about building confidence and helping children to lead safe, healthy and fulfilling lives; changing attitudes and raising aspirations. Participating in new activities, rising to new challenges and living alongside their peers helps them to become more adaptable and confident at a critical turning point in their development.
