KUWAIT
Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah Hospital, Surra
In January it was announced that construction had started on this US$1.1 billion, 1,200-bed hospital which covers 225,000 square metres. The project is developed by Kuwait Ministry of Public Works (MPW) while the main contractor is Kuwait Arab Contractors Company.
BAHRAIN
King Hamad General Hospital
Valued at US$130 million, this 312-bed hospital in Muharraq covers a built-up area of 63,000 square metres, while the development area is 227,000 square metres. Construction is nearly complete on the project, which is being developed by Bahrain Ministry of Works and Housing – Bahrain Ministry of Health.

Jazan Medical City
This 900-bed, US$160 million medical city in Jazan includes a 200-bed fever hospital, a psychology hospital, a centre for treatment, as well as a ‘Boy College’ and ‘Girl College’. The principal contractor is Al Fouzan Company for Trading and Contracting.
SAUDI ARABIA
Hospital Programme
The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health is building three 50-bed hospitals worth a total of US$100 million, with Abdullah Mohammad Al Yousif Contracting Company acting as the principal contractor. Each hospital will cover an area of 200,000 square metres in Qureyet in Northern Province, Najran and Nemrah in Al Baha.
