A good honours degree in Fine Art or an equivalent qualification in a related discipline. Those without formal academic qualifications may be considered with evidence of relevant experience appropriate to the academic demands of the programme. Admissions tutors will decide selection on the basis of the candidate’s ability to benefit from the programme.

Research focuses on individual study proposals and studio practice, and invites investigation into the boundaries between drawing and a broad range of Fine Art disciplines

from traditional media to digital technologies. Study culminates in a major body of work at the end of year show.

The Fine Art department offers an expansive cultural studies programme enjoying opportunities to travel both nationally and internationally. The department makes particular use of its proximity to galleries in London, Oxford and Bristol.
