Street Fair Spices up the Turnaround June 16

eady to kick off the start of summer at the club? The Turnaround bursts with festivities everyone can enjoy at the Street Fair Wednesday, June 16 from 4- 6 p.m.

Bark Among Friends at MAC

C

ome to the first-ever Bark in the Park celebration at MAC. Join fellow

dog lovers Sunday, July 11 from 3:30-5 p.m. in Block 7. This event is fun for all MAC members, friends and families, and of course the dogs. The park is on the south side of the MAC Parking Structure, between SW Main and Madison, and SW 19th and 20th.

Pooches and pals howl to the music and everyone enjoys a summer treat. The highlight of this dog day afternoon is judging the dog contests. Members have the opportunity to win trophies in the following categories: best dressed; dog and owner look-alike; and best trick. Participants can enter to win in all three categories. Entertainment includes MAC’s Elite dancers, the a capella group Cloud 9, music provided by a hip DJ, and much more. Strung between the performers are jugglers and contortionists. A hula hoop performance captures the crowd’s attention before everyone learns how to hoop it up. Local artists, a florist, and an -M-Porium sidewalk sale surround the covered area. Special treats are available for a small fee and everyone can scream for ice cream. The Sports Pub and Men’s Bar are both open following the event for dinner. No registration is required.

Mothers and Sons Hit the Carnival Scene

ield day meets carnival fun at the Coney Island Carnival, the outdoor mother son event Sunday, June 27 from 2-4 p.m. at the Lincoln High School football field. Mothers and sons enjoy carnival games, entertainment and contests. Hit the high

striker, join the wheelbarrow race or make a hole in one. Hide behind a bunker while playing laser tag against friends, or play sons versus mothers. Learn how to tie balloon animals from a clown or play in the bubble pond. Paired up, moms and sons are sure to have a blast with each other and their friends.
