Hudson American Legion Steps Up for Zach

Members of the Hudson American Legion Post 48 hosted a Meat Raffle to help fund
the Zachary Tompkins Memorial Field project last Saturday, pulling out all the stops so that attendees could join in the raffle to bid for over 21 items. In the lower level, people watched and listened on a big-screen television as Pete Ledoux manned the caller’s table on the main floor as he also communicated, via walkie-talkie, with Brian O’Toole on the lower level. Event organizers Gary Webster and Ben Nadeau were busy throughout the afternoon keeping track of the winners and making sure that everyone had plenty to eat. Both Ayotte’s Stateline and Gate City Prevision provided meat for the raffle, and Gold Seal Audio Wurks provided a remote starter as a door prize. If you missed this Meat Raffle, watch for the American Legion to step up again in the fall.

Tate Bros. Paving Co. Helps Benson Park to be Ready
With the opening on
Saturday, May 29, the pathways of Benson Park were resurfaced. Tate Bros. Paving Co. Inc. donated equipment and men to apply recycled asphalt product (RAP) to interior park trails— approximately 1,100 linear feet (about two- tenths of a mile). The Town of Hudson Highway Department provided trucking and materials.
