Blossoming Beauty treatments in the comfort of your own home!
Welcome to Look Local in June. Can it really be Village Day in a few weeks’ time? Yes it can! This year the theme is ‘The Circus Comes
Super Heroes do it for Alastair.

Fine Time to Dine!
to Town!’ Should be a fun packed day, so remember to put Saturday 19th June in your diary! If you’re new to the village and have never experienced Bookham Village Day before, it’s a real treat, so come on down! I’ve enjoyed putting together a wonderful selection of features for you this month: I’ve been pampered in the comfort of my own home in the form of a fabulous facial; I went on an amazing guided tour of a beautiful local landmark and I enjoyed dinner with Cecelia John, our gardening tips lady, at a delightfully unpretentious little eatery! We also hear more from our friend Lorelly, as she recalls different modes of transport her family used when she was a girl. More wonderful feedback came flooding in following last month’s feature. Lorelly is amazed and delighted at all the lovely comments and thanks you for your interest. Finally, please do take a little time to read about an amazing charity bike ride which is taking place at the end of June. A bunch of local super-heroes are going to cycle the length of the country in memory of Alastair Burnett, a very brave little boy who died of leukaemia last December at only six years of age. Please help the Super-Heroes reach their goal! Have a great month, and remember your dads
on Father’s Day, Sunday 20th June. Kindest Regards,
