SUMMER FESTIVAL GUIDE

The British appetitie for a good hoedown in a muddy field is one of those weird quirks of our national character that’s at odds with all of the other stuff that we’re supposed to be famous for, like queuing, and an obsession with personal space. Even so, the vast array of festivals on offer today means that all the old defining qualities of a festival weekend - the bruises, the dodgy food, that strange sensation of waking up with a a cotton wool mouth and a face like a lump of pumice - don’t have to apply. Here’s our pick of the mix of this summer’s festivals.
