Zurich Assurance has granted a new five-year lease for 185 Barns Road at Templars Square Shopping Centre in Cowley, which comprises 1,934 sq ft. A convenience store trading as ‘Imy’s Stop n Shop’ has taken the lease at £52,500 pa. Hicks Baker and Jones Lang LaSalle are joint letting agents.
SOUTHGATE BATH 75 PER CENT LET
SouthGate Bath, Multi Development and Aviva’s new shopping destination in the city, is now 75 per cent let following deals with Urban Outfitters, Topshop/Topman, Currys PC World, River Island, and Fat Face. The five new names join a growing line up at SouthGate Bath that includes Sainsburys, Boots, New Look, Apple,

Caversham Trading, trading as BrightHouse, has acquired a new lease on a double unit at The Mall, from Henry Boot Developments. Henry Boot Developments has amalgamated the two units to provide 3,500 sq ft on the ground floor and 2,194 sq ft in the basement. Brighthouse has signed a new 10 year-lease, subject to a tenant-only break clause after the fifth year, at a commencing rent of £75,000 pa. It

Furniture Village has opened a new store at Legal & General Property’s Solartron Retail Park. Following this letting, the nine-unit retail warehouse scheme, which is owned by LGP’s Linked Life Fund, is now fully let. The furniture retailer took the 14,700-sq ft unit on a new 15-year lease at a commencing rent of £28 per sq ft. It follows the letting last year of the former Land of Leather unit on the park to Pets at Home, which also signed for a 15-year lease on the 11,127-sq ft store. King Sturge and Green & Partners advised LGP, Green & Partners Pets at Home and CWM Furniture Village.
