‘Having already trained and worked professionally in the business for a number of years, I felt that I still needed to hone my skills to a level that would ensure I could continue in the business for many years to come.

Aware that I was slightly older, I was looking for somewhere that could fulfil my requirements in one academic year. Once on the course, I was taken aback by the level of professionalism and calibre of industry professionals who were not only connected to but worked closely with the students, and the dedication and commitment given by all the staff to the successful careers of the trainees.

I believe that to work successfully in this business you can never stop learning, but I also believe that the Academy has given me a set of skills which I will call on throughout my career. A thoroughly enjoyable and very beneficial year which I would highly recommend to anyone!’

Since graduating from the Academy in 2009, Neil has enjoyed a year performing on tour in The Sound of Music.
