After a tour of the museum, visit our well-stocked gift shop, which features several local products, several fair- trade items, and heritage photographs. Afterwards, head outdoors to enjoy some quiet time in our Heritage Garden, adjacent to the building. This lovely spot offers a beautiful oasis in the downtown core and is a great spot for a picnic lunch.

We will celebrate the 125th Anniversary of “Farwell to Revelstoke” with a Multicultural Heritage Picnic in Farwell Park on Sunday, June 27th. This fun-filled day, perfect for the whole family, will feature games, activities and food, celebrating our diverse heritage.

While in Revelstoke, plan a visit to the Revelstoke Museum and Archives, where we offer a wealth of information, artifacts and photographs that bring our history to life. Two floors of exhibits explore various aspects of our history, with feature exhibits on the early Chinese

community, the Boer War, the Queen Victoria Hospital, Manning’s Confectionery, and “From Farwell to Revelstoke.” A new exhibit on the effect of the massive 1910 Rogers Pass Snowslide will open on August 14th.

Children and families are very welcome in the museum, and scavenger hunts and other activities are available to help younger visitors experience the history
