However, because smaller companies often only require deployment involving, say, ten users, we have now brought to market a productised version of WES that is both more suited for deployment by smaller companies, whilst not precluding larger companies from sourcing this Express version if they wish.” Hannay explained that it was while deploying bespoke versions of WES at P&O and Faber Music (companies with smaller numbers of Voice users) that Zetes looked carefully at these deployments and conducted extensive internal analysis in order to determine what the best core functionality requirements were for the smaller end user. “The result of this
analysis can now be found in our 3iV WES Express; where within a middleware environment we’ve taken the connector-type technology that we’ve employed in our direct strategy and brought this into our middleware strategy for the first time,” he said. “And because we use our own Voice recogniser rather than another proprietary models, this enables us to ‘mix and match’ with other vendors’ hardware and deploy the full system quicker. So now the back-end software is truly separated from the front-end hardware. This flexibility is at the core of Zetes’ solutions approach.”
