of oestrogen exposure by prescribing HRT, we increase the duration and thus the risk of breast cancer. It was not a mistake made by creation, to reduce and ultimately stop oestrogen production by the ovary. Every day I hear from women in their menopause: “My doctor tested my oestrogen levels and it is low. It should be pushed up with oestrogen replacement therapy” This is remarkable to me. Physiology class in the 2nd year medicine explained this clearly, but we still regard this phenomenon as a disease or a mistake that must be corrected. Where does this come from? Is it a doctrine taught by the Pharmaceutical Companies to sell products? It clearly cannot be taught in our Medical Schools!
I also hear the explanation that the Creator did not think or know that women would live past the menopause and therefore did not know that she would need oestrogen after fifty years of age! Isn’t this absurd? Let us hear more about the findings of various studies on HRT and disease.
I refer you to the H.E.R.S study (Heart and oestrogen/progestin replacement study) that showed no benefit and in fact a detrimental effect on heart disease in women using HRT.
I refer you to a study on the effects of HRT on Breast cancer done by Colditz, an epidemiologist from Harvard, who found a direct relationship between oestrogen blood levels and breast cancer in 52,000 women with breast cancer and 100,000 without breast cancer...
I refer you to the WHI (Women’s Health Initiative Study), the largest study ever on hormones and women’s health with a budget of $950 million which was aborted prematurely, because of too many strokes and breast cancers found in women using hormones. It was stopped “in the interest of safety” after finding no benefit in the women using HRT and seeing that it was a study “in healthy women” in the menopause who suffered side effects of the study drugs.
As a final death shot for HRT versus women’s health, I refer you to a study done by Stanford University Medical School on what happened when women stopped their hormone prescriptions: An unprecedented fall in breast cancer numbers resulted. If this does not convince you and other doubting individuals, then nothing will.

This is another of those old dogmas that we must discard. This dogma still prevails in many doctor’s surgeries.
