Lions Club Annual Spring Social

submitted by Sheryl Parsons

The Salem Lions Club held their Annual Spring Social on May 6 at Harris’ Pelham Inn. The Spring Social is a Lions Club fundraiser. Proceeds from ticket sales and raffle prizes will help the club to fund a seeing-eye dog for a sight-challenged resident in the Salem community. Guests at the Social had the opportunity to take a chance to win one of 38 baskets. There were also nine prizes of greater value. Most of the baskets or items

contained in them were from the donations of local businesses. The grand prize of the evening was a 32-inch flat screen TV generously donated by Best Buy. The Lions Club will also be on hand Saturday,

May 15, at the Salem Town Hall from 1 to 3 p.m. hosting the Annual Rabies Clinic. Bring your pets for their annual rabies vaccine! The Salem Lions Club is a service organization.
